Day 2

So, Medical Assessment Unit in the morning, followed by majors this afternoon. The dreaded Novovirus was present this morning, and I don't particularly want to go into detail of my first experience of diarrhoea and vomiting.

So majors was pretty good, but there is definitely a difference in my role. I was mainly there to carry out cleaning duties, bed making, getting them food and drink, etc. It felt like I've been working in a nursing home all day. I think because of the nature of patients in majors, most of the care is down to doctors and nurses (as opposed to minors, where we have much more responsibility). But the good thing about it is it will always be in rotation.

I've been looking forward to tomorrow the most, I'm in resus.
